The Brooklyn Cleaning Service Company Case Study

We have created a domain name with basic SEO for a cleaning services business in Brooklyn, NY, and submitted it to google search results. We monitored it for a year without making any changes, and we watched it for local keyword ranking search engine placements, visitor counts and activity counts. We then created a free listing with our platform, and every 3 months progressed it through the tiers while tracking the data, which now speaks for itself.
Disclaimer: the owner did post links from Facebook to the website on semi-regular basis, so we did monitor that as well.

May 2nd, 2022 - The journey begins

To test the exposure that our platform provides, we have worked closely with a small business who agreed for us to take over their online presence in return for a free lifetime Professional membership. Today our journey begins. We have purchased a domain name that has a "cleaning" related keyword and "city/location" releated keyword in it. We have linked it to a static website with a contact form and we submitted the domain to search engines. This is the setup that many companies have. One time submission, and stale data. We will monitor and observe the traffic over the next year. We will monitor 5 keywords that should rank for this domain and content.

FINDINGS: 470 visitors per month with 4 leads over 12 months and 10th page of Google. Every lead generated from a Facebook post!

May 1st, 2023 - Listing integration

Almost exactly a year later we've gone ahead and added a FREE listing to our listing. We added some nice inviting photos and fully populated business information, open hours and services offered with detailed pricing. We made no additional changes to the website whatsoever. This trial test will take 3 months.

FINDINGS: 661 visitors and 7 listing views per month with 7 leads over 3 months and 9th page of Google. 4 leads from Facebook and 3 leads from listing!

July 31st, 2023 - Verified listing

3 months later all we did was flip a flag on the listing from unverified to verified. This doesn't give any extra boosts to the listing itself, but once it is opened, the customer is more likely to request a booking when they see the verified listing box. We will not be making any adjustments to the website at this time.

FINDINGS: 833 visitors and 8 listing views per month with 12 leads over 3 months and 9th page of Google. 5 leads from Facebook and 7 leads from listing!

November 6th, 2023 - Pro listing

3 months later all we did went straight to Professional plan. Since the difference between a Verified listing and a Premium Plan are mainly customer relationship tools we were not expecting major changes there, so we switched over to Professional. We linked the website to the system and ran some recommended updates. We cleaned up some form submission scripts to prevent spam and made the website a bit more dynamic. The search results got boosted and we stepped away and watched what happens.

FINDINGS: Owner stopped using Facebook to avertise. All spam eliminated. All keywords ranking with the highest on page 3 of google search results!

What we have learned?

With those findings our client was confirmed that our system works well, but it's just another tool in your toolbox. We understand that each company is different and each location is different. Not everyone is offering service in densly popuplated area like Brooklyn, but no matter how big you are, and no matter where you live, our tools and services will help you put your best foot forward.
